Can you help with Apprenticeships in Tameside?

Did you know?

  • There are financial incentives to taking on an apprentice, as part of the Routes into Work Programme you may be eligible to a £1,000 payment when you employ a young person who is currently unemployed and if you employ someone aged between 16 and 17 before 31st March 2010 you could be eligible for an employer grant of £2,500.
  • Funding is available for training apprentices.
  • An apprenticeship can last between 12 months and 3 years and the age range is usually between 16 and 24.
  • There are over 190 different apprenticeships available, there's usually one to cover most work areas, these range from Leisure, Arts, Business Admin, Engineering, Retail and Agriculture.
  • If you can't continue to employ an apprentice the training provider they are with will help the apprentice gain new employment.
